Inside the Obama rally venue at the Tri-C Metro Campus Recreation Center Gymnasium, bleacher seats are rapidly filling with community members, students and faculty. A Tri-C campus officer said parking lots on the Metro Campus are completely filled, and the overflow lot at the Visiting Nurses Association is also filled. More parking is available at the Marion Sterling Elementary School located near Cedar and East 30th Street.
Campus officials say the event is flowing smoothly as ticket holders make their way into the gymnasium. It was observed earlier that a person waiting in line for the rally was wheeled to an ambulance in a stretcher. No word on what the cause for medical attention was.
