Tri-C Professor Explains Why Ohio is Important in this Presidential Election

Political Science Professor Sonja Siler said Ohio is important in the presidential election because of it being a swing state. Since the early 1960s, a U.S. president has never won the election without the support of Ohio. Because of that Barack Obama and Mitt Romney have been criss-crossing the Buckeye State in hopes of capturing the support of independent voters.

First Lady Michelle Obama is stumped for her husband at the Tri-C Metro Oct. 15.
