The Tri-C Men’s Basketball team couldn’t pull off a win today at the Cuyahoga Community College Eastern Campus Jan. 30, with a score of 96-76 against rival team Lakeland Community College.

Tri-C Center Joshua Reagan rebounds the ball at a game Jan. 30 against Lakeland Community College.
The Challengers playing aggressively in the first half led the game by as much as 15 points at times and trailing Lakeland by one point at halftime with a score of 45-46.

However in the second half, the Tri-C Challengers seemed to be losing steam and trailed the Lakeland Lakers in score by most of the period.

“Our kids got to get a little more tougher in games like this,” said Challengers Head Coach Randy White. “We got to find a way to stay in games like this; rather than petering out of energy.”

The Lady Challengers played Lakeland earlier and won their game with a score of 73-55.

The basketball teams now play three games on the road: Sinclair Community College on Feb. 2, Owens Community College on Feb. 6, and Columbus State on Feb. 9.

The teams play their next home game at the Metropolitan Campus at 3 p.m. on Feb. 16 when they play Edison Community College.
