The THRIVE program at Tri-C Metro is seeking students who have a drive to start their own business — but hurry as the deadline to apply for this program is October 4.

“THRIVE will provide students the office, the surroundings and the mentorship to enable them to make their entrepreneurial dreams become a reality,” said Andrew Bajda, THRIVE program administrator and business professor at Metro. “The goal is to help students achieve their business ideas. We’ve had two students featured in Plain Dealer stories.”

THRIVE is a business incubator that is available to aspiring entrepreneurs. The program will select four students for the 2013-14 school year. These students will have access to their own office complete with computers, phones, supplies, coaches and all the advice they need from the business professors on campus.

The office would be shared with the four students and includes a reception area, access to a conference room, file cabinets and a printer/copy machine.

“We are looking for students who are really focused and are passionate about their things and what they are interested in,” Bajda said. “For those this is an opportunity to enable their business idea to become a reality.”

Students interested in applying for THRIVE should contact Professor Bajda at 216-987-4967, or email him at Andrew.Bajda@tri-c.edu.
