CLEVELAND — Tri-C President Alex Johnson cast his vote along with Voice News editor Bronson Peshlakai at the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections Friday morning.

For Tri-C stakeholders, among one of the top issues on the ballot is Issue 6, a levy renewal and a 0.9 mill increase for county property owners, which the college asserts it needs to pass to make ends meet.

Johnson said it’s important for students, primary stakeholders, alumni and retirees of Tri-C to make their voices heard for Tri-C.

“This is an important election for Tri-C for obvious reasons and we hope that they take the responsibility now and election night,” Johnson said.

The deadline to return absentee ballots to the Board of Elections, or to be postmarked is today, Monday, Nov. 3.

The Board of Elections will not be a polling location to the general public on Election Day. Residents will need to vote at their assigned polling location. Click on the following link to find that location, http://boe.cuyahogacounty.us/en-US/My-Polling-Location.aspx

The Voice News will be producing on-the-minute reports from an Issue 6 watch party where college officials will be watching voting results come in at the Jerry Sue Thornton Center Election night.
