A source has told The Voice, sophomore Tevin Williams will likely miss the entire season.
An exact diagnosis will not be known until he receives an MRI, but it is thought that he may have a torn ACL.
Williams injured his leg during an alumni game on Aug 15. This is an especially devastating injury, as Williams had been named team captain and was a crucial leader during tryouts this month.
“It’s a very disappointing situation, we just got to hope he gets back after he goes through surgery,” said Coach Devan Anderson.
Adversity has shaken a young team that must find a way to win without their leader. “As far as the team goes we have to try to come together and pull through,” said Anderson.
Williams plans on attending the home games to support his team.
Tri-C opens their season tomorrow at Jamestown CC.
