Tri-C Metro Campus is gearing up for its annual Diversity Day celebration on Thursday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the MCC Food Court. This day promises a rich tapestry of cultures, flavors, and experiences. It is a vibrant celebration of diversity where students, whether local or international, are encouraged to showcase their heritage through traditional attire, food, and cultural presentations.
Last year’s event was a dazzling success. It featured a spectacular array of cuisines from around the world, including dishes from Albania, India, Nigeria, and many more countries. The atmosphere was electric, filled with colors and aromas that transported students back to their homelands, providing a much-needed break from the rigors of academic life and a way to celebrate the students’ heritage and mix of different cultures.
This year’s event promises to be even more exciting, with the Mandel Academy sponsoring the festivities and encouraging students to participate and share their cultural uniqueness with the rest of the student body. They generously offer to reimburse students who prepare meals for presentation, providing a monetary reimbursement for the amount spent on meal preparation. This gesture encourages participation and ensures that students can share their culture and culinary delights without financial burden. To participate, interested students can contact Edona Vajushi, President of the Student Government, via email at edonavajushi@gmail.com for more information. So, mark your calendars, don your cultural attire, and get ready for a celebration, connection, and delicious food at Tri-C Metro Campus’s Diversity Day!
