Men’s Soccer 2025 Season

The Cuyahoga Community College men’s soccer team completes another winning season after finishing the season with eight wins, two losses and two ties. This is the second year in a row the Triceratops had a winning season and extended their season to the playoffs.


Two players won Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) player of week during the season, three players finished in the top ten in total points and one player finished first in assists.
The Tops kicked the season off winning five of its first eight matches and finished the season by winning three of its last six.


After the first week of the season, sophomore Baraka Mwakilasa won OCCAC player of the week after scoring a goal and assisting on two in the Tops season opening 6-2 victory over Lakeland Community College.


Amit Mahat was named OCCAC co-player of the week in the second week of the season after scoring all three of Triceratops goals, one in a win over St.Clair County Community College and two in a tie against Terre State.


Tops sophomores Stefan Trmcic finished in second place in the OCCAC in points with 21, Stephan Forges finished in seventh with 11 and Diego Penna finished in eighth place with 10.


Stefan Trmcic also finished first in assists with five and Mwakilasa finished in fourth place.
After their second place finish overall and in the OCCAC, the Tops qualified for the Region XII Playoffs to be played November 1 at St. Clair Community College in Huron, Michigan.


After last year, the Triceratops are continuing to dominate. With an impressive eight wins, and two players winning OCCAC player of the week, things are continuing to look bright. Good luck to the Triceratops as they keep up this momentum.
