Student Robbed at Gunpoint

A Tri-c student was robbed at gunpoint on Wednesday April 10th at the bus stop.

The incident happened around noon at the RTA bus stop on East 30th right next to the gymnasium.

The student while waiting at the bus stop was approached by three black men between the ages of 15-17. One of the suspects produced a handgun and demanded the student’s Iphone and money.

After the incident, the suspect ran along Community College Ave and possibly disappeared into the Arbor Park housing complex.

The student gave a description of one of the suspects. The suspect is a black male between the age of 15-17, about 5’6 in height with black wavy hair. The suspect had a visible tattoo on the left side of his face. He wore a gray hoodie with blue jeans.

Campus police advise students to:
– Be aware of their surroundings
– Travel in groups rather than alone
-Stay in well lighted areas
-Determine the location of the Blue light emergency telephones
-Always be alert!
– Notify campus police of any suspicious activity (216) 987-4325
