Free Legal Help for Tri-C Students Upcoming Legal Clinics in March and April

By Jane Salifu

Navigating college life can be challenging, and legal issues can add extra
stress to an already busy schedule. Fortunately, Cuyahoga Community College
(Tri-C) is offering students a chance to get free legal assistance through upcoming
legal clinics in March and April. These clinics, held in partnership with the Legal
Aid Society of Cleveland, aim to help students tackle civil issues such as housing,
money matters, family disputes, and employment concerns—all at no cost.

Legal problems can be a major roadblock for students, often affecting their
ability to stay focused on their education. Whether it’s a landlord dispute, a
financial issue, or a family matter, these legal concerns can lead to stress and
uncertainty. The goal of these clinics is to provide stability and remove barriers that
might prevent students from completing their education . This initiative is part of
Tri-C’s ongoing commitment to student success. By offering legal guidance and, in
some cases, legal representation, the college is ensuring that students have the
support they need to stay enrolled and on track to graduate.

Students can meet with an attorney, no appointment necessary at the following
clinics:

March 19th at Eastern Campus Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Humanities Center
4250 Richmond Road, Highland Hills from 3 – 5 p.m. (Intake from 3 – 4 p.m.).

April 24th at Western Campus Student Services (WSS G4A/B) 11000 Pleasant
Valley Road, Parma from 3 – 5 p.m. (Intake from 3 – 4 p.m.)

Students are encouraged to bring any important paperwork related to their
legal concerns. While walk-ins are welcome, those who arrive after the intake hour
may be referred to a future clinic if all available slots for the day are filled. For
students juggling academics, work, and personal responsibilities, these free legal
clinics offer a unique opportunity to get expert advice without financial burden.
The partnership between Tri-C and the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland is an
example of how the college is working to support students beyond the classroom.
