A rush at the chance to see President Obama’s campaign rally at Cuyahoga Community College’s Metro Recreation Center Gymnasium Thursday, June 14, had tickets sell out the same day they were made available to students, faculty, staff and the general public.
Only those who made reservations for a ticket can still pick up at ticket at any of the Student Affairs offices at all four Tri-C campuses until 5 p.m.
Tickets are not needed, however, to watch a live feed of the Obama rally at the Tri-C Metro Auditorium located across 30th Street from the Recreation Center Gynasium.
Tri-C officials sent this e-mail out regarding sold out tickets.
“As of Tuesday morning, June 12th, the full College allotment of tickets to attend President Obama’s visit have been reserved. We are sorry to be unable to accommodate everyone that wished to attend the live event in the gymnasium but hope you will consider joining us to watch President Obama through a live television feed in the auditorium instead. There is ample overflow seating available and we encourage you to attend and not miss this wonderful opportunity. Doors to the auditorium will open at 11:30 a.m.” — Lindsay English, interim dean of academic affairs at Tri-C.
